On October 19, 2024, the first phase of the 5-day 136th Canton Fair came to an end. 

The first phase of Zhaoqing trading group contacted about 8,000 overseas merchants, an increase of about 23%; Export turnover (meaning to orders) was about 390 million yuan, an increase of 2.6% year-on-year. There are more than 300 new customers to Zhaoqing factory field visit negotiations, mainly from the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia, South America, Russia, India and other places. 

As of October 27, 2024, a total of 199,000 overseas buyers from 212 countries and regions attended the meeting, an increase of 3.4% over the same period of the previous session. Among them, 130,000 buyers from countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative, accounting for 65.6 percent, an increase of 4.8 percent; 41,000 buyers from BRICS countries, accounting for 20.8%, an increase of 2.2%; 41,000 European and American buyers, accounting for 20.8%, an increase of 6.1%; 27,000 buyers from the Middle East, accounting for 13.7%, an increase of 37.4%. The second phase of the enterprise uploaded a total of 1.59 million exhibits, and accumulated 943,000 overseas visitors. 

As of October 31, 2024, the first and second phases of the 136th Canton Fair had more than 590,000 foreign travelers entering and exiting from various ports, an increase of 41 percent over the same period last year.
